kaecy eileen maccauley (born september 12, 1989) is a twenty-five year old actress and singer best known for her roles in The Help, Pitch Perfect, and Pitch Perfect 2 as well as voicing cartoon hero Kim Possible. maccauley is the daughter of the late filmmaker glen maccauley and actress jillian ryan and the youngest sibling of actress melissa maccauley and __ maccauley. she has three step-siblings from her mother's second marriage, including actress odette mercier. her first role was as morgan matthews, the comically sarcastic younger sister of corey matthews, in Boy Meets World, a role in which she was a replacement for the previous child actress. she made her feature film debut in the 2007 comedy Superbad in which she played Jules, the interest of main character Seth. for the next few years she mostly appeared in small recurring television roles while she focused on traveling and donating her time to causes that were close to her heart. in 2010, her career skyrocketed after she appeared in her first lead film role (Easy A) and voiced Rapunzel in Disney favorite, Tangled. maccauley met her best friend, evan banks, when they attended the same event in late 2012. following her appearance in banks' Give Me Love video, the two dated for nearly a year before deciding they were better off as friends. the two still prompt rumors routinely due to shared social media photos and public appearances. maccauley is an avid supporter of animal rights and is the former spokeswoman of the whaleman foundation, a standing which allowed her to travel to Taiji, Japan in 2007 to protest the fishing village's notorious dolphin cull and capture. the dramatic footage of she and five other protesters being attacked by fisherman can be seen in the 2009 documentary The Cove. she is known for having a sense of humor regarding most things but has called attention to herself in the past for jumping into feuds that involve her friends and family. it has recently been announced that maccauley is set to reprise her role as Beca Mitchell in Pitch Perfect 3 (2017).
